Norman Greenbaum is an American singer-songwriter. In the late 1960s, he was the leader and composer for Dr. West's Medicine Show and Junk Band, best known for "The Eggplant That Ate Chicago". He released his debut solo album, Spirit in the Sky (best known for the title track) in 1969 and released two other studio albums: Back Home Again (1970) and Petaluma (1972).
