Each song presents a frame of concrete suburbia, city corners, trackside totes and familial country landscapes.  It marks a finishing of a catalogue of McAlpin’s songs in a distinct counter country Americana style the band have pursued for over fifteen years.

This time the familiar darkness and refrain evolves into sharper descending folk into rock each painting a portrait without needing a dense narrative. With Fate Done Nice, Roller One applies the breathing energy of their new lineup to the studio, sharpening their slice-of-life portraiture to cut deeper than ever before.
