Cass McCombs debut album, A, came out in 2003, opening the world up to a brilliant singer-songwriter from New York via Baltimore and California. Channelling 1970’s country folks with moments of lyrical irreverence throughout, A is something of a sleeper hit as lots of people discovering him in recent years have been hitting on it when finding their way through his catalogue.
