Overview

The 2S1 Gvozdika ("Carnation") is a Soviet 122mm self-propelled howitzer that entered service in the early 1970s. Based on a modified MT-LB chassis, this fully amphibious vehicle was designed to provide mobile artillery support for motorised rifle and tank regiments. The Gvozdika became a standard and widely exported piece of Warsaw Pact artillery, seeing service in numerous conflicts around the world.

This 1/35 scale kit from Trumpeter is an exceptionally detailed replica of the famous Gvozdika.
