Overview

Originally a Czech design known as the LTvz.38, this capable light tank was adopted into German service after the occupation of Czechoslovakia in 1939. Renamed the Panzer 38(t), it became a vital part of the Panzer divisions in the early years of WWII. The Ausf.E/F variants featured improved armour and were thrown into the vast blitzkrieg of Operation Barbarossa, the invasion of the Soviet Union.

This 1/48 scale kit from Tamiya is a detailed replica of the Panzer 38(t). A key feature of this series, the kit includes metal weights to be installed in the hull, giving the finished model a realistically heavy feel.
