Overview

Developed as a direct counter to the Soviet T-34, the German Panther is considered by many to be one of the finest tank designs of World War II. The Ausf.G was the final and most-produced variant, incorporating a host of improvements learned from combat on the Eastern and Western Fronts. With its combination of a powerful 75mm gun, sloped armour, and excellent mobility, the Panther was a formidable opponent.

This 1/48 scale kit from Tamiya is a detailed and versatile replica of the Panther Ausf.G. A key feature of this series, it includes a die-cast metal chassis for realistic weight and feel. The kit is highly adaptable, providing a rich variety of optional parts to build either an early or late production version of the Ausf.G, including different gun mantlets and exhaust options.
