Overview

Developed during World War II to provide U.S. forces with a more capable reconnaissance vehicle, the M8 Greyhound armoured car featured increased protection and heavier armament compared to earlier scout cars. Its 37mm cannon, high road speed, and 6x6 drive guaranteed greater operational flexibility. Used extensively from the Italian front onwards, including the D-Day landings, the M8 was particularly appreciated for its speed and versatility.

This 1/35 scale kit from Italeri is a detailed replica of the famous Greyhound. The model accurately captures the distinctive angular shape of the vehicle and features a detailed open-topped turret and chassis. This boxing includes a new decal sheet offering four different marking versions, allowing the modeller to depict vehicles serving with the U.S. Army or other Allied forces during WWII, complemented by colour instructions.
