Overview

The Lockheed F-104 Starfighter, famously nicknamed the "Missile with a Man in It," was a high-performance supersonic interceptor aircraft. Characterized by its sleek design and tiny, thin wings, it was capable of incredible speed and climb rates. The F-104C was a fighter-bomber variant developed for the USAF's Tactical Air Command and saw service during the Vietnam War, primarily in the air superiority and ground attack roles.

This 1/72 scale kit from Academy is a detailed replica of the F-104C as deployed during the Vietnam conflict. The model features an accurately detailed cockpit and landing gear, along with precisely engraved panel lines and rivet details for a realistic finish.
